My name is Ms. Schultz, but some of my students affectionately call me Schultzie. I teach high school English at a small-ish town in southern Wisconsin.

| Apparently, I was planning my career since the age of 5. |
Things I care deeply about:
The importance of reading (and practicing reading as you would any other skill).
Social Justice and Human Rights - for everyone.
My students.
My family (the one I was born into, and the ones I’ve chosen myself). I truly believe in creating strong friendships and nurturing those relationships, even if we’re separated by distance.
Love - spreading it, being in it, and nurturing it.
My favorite things:
Books. My favorite genres are romance, narrative nonfiction (because I love learning things), historical fiction, social justice, and realistic fiction (especially YA fiction). I also love books in verse. I’m working on cultivating my personal library and my classroom library with titles I love.
Food. Especially Thai and Japanese food. I’m always craving sushi, ramen, and curry.
Crafting. I love working with different mediums and my favorites of the moment are painting and knitting.
Netflix. First, because The Office is something I re-watch at least twice a year. Second, because there are always new documentaries, RomComs, and diverse series.
